STACKED BLOCKS -

“Polymer Clay Stacked Tiles” Create a collage of texture, dimension and color with polymer clay. Learn to work with polymer clay, rolling, texturing, cutting and layering. Use Artful Illusions rubber stamps that are step sized to texture and size a stack of 3 or more design layers. Top them off with brass charms, beads and jewelry tidbits. Apply color with paints, mica powders and gilding pastes. Use Lumiere paint to cover a 6X6 panel to be the base for 4 of your square stacks. 3 blocks of clay, 6X6 base, some trims are included as well as use of the coloring materials and tools. Additional trims will be available for purchase. Due to baking time you can either pick up your shrine at a later time or take home and bake.

CLAY SHRINES

Polymer Clay Shrines” Learn to work with polymer clay, rolling, texturing, cutting and layering. Use a crown template to shape the top of your shrine and Artful Illusions stamps to shape and texture the pieces. The textured layers will be combined to make a shrine approximately 2X4 inches. Frame out a picture with a clay layer then color with paints, mica powders and gilding pastes. Accent with charms, beads and jewelry tidbits. 4 blocks of clay are included, some trims as well as use of the coloring materials and tools. Additional trims will be available for purchase. Due to baking time you can either pick up your shrine at a later time or take home and bake. ($65)

Tin Typed Book

Make a small copper book with a tube bar hanging system for the pages. Make more than a dozen faux tin-types to hang from the binding or rivet to the covers. Metal stamped discs spelling out tin types will be attached to the chain along with keys or trims that you may want to bring. Rubber stamp into molten solder to add interest to the book front. Work with a new patina system that uses both hot and cold techniques.

Skill Level: intermediate

Skills Learned: Metal fabrication and decoration, book assembly, faux tin-types

Products Provided:
All metals for the book and the tin types, findings and chain for assembly, ITS print and fluid for image transfer, solder and stamps for book front decoration, patinas and sealers, a few vintage type trims.


Bring:
Scissors, basic wire working tools ie. round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, flush cutter, disposable black nail file for acrylic nails (beauty supply or drug store)
Old clothes or aprons would be a good idea as the patinas can stain. ($120)
