Have you ever seen beautiful landscapes and natural scenes made from Encaustic Wax? Have you ever wanted to learn how to make scenes yourself, but were a little intimidated by the process? Well, you don't have to be, and in this class you will get to play with all sorts of techniques using wax, and learn to make natural scenes yourself. You will make a set of note cards to send to love ones, or even showcase a few in your home using one of the oldest art forms...Encaustic Wax. The techniques you learn will be able to transfer over to other areas of art to boot! ($40) Bring: apron. All other supplies will be provided.

Every year the creative stars line up and invent exceptional products, and "sometimes" when those products are combined, a match is made that is so super special, it can ignite the crafting world. The products by themselves are wonderful, of course, but in my opinion when combined, are revolutionary! I am of course speaking about Wendy Vecchi's embossing paste; Tim Holtz Distress Paints from Ranger and Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions ink sprays from Ranger. Using the first two together creates a wonderful resist for the latter, so I call this the Trinity Resist, and you will see the wonderful results from it when you complete these two inspirational and artsy tags. ($30) Bring: Apron. All other supplies will be provided.
